The revised Subject Outline Tool was first released for the 201845 session. In a quest for continual quality improvement, the process of quality assurance (QA) has been incorporated into the Subject Outline Tool. The intention is to make it easier and faster for subject outline authors and QA officers to ensure quality.
Beginning from the 201945 session, QA Declarations are now included in each Outline to guide the content and quality of the outline and ensure compliance with the Moderation Policy. These QA Declarations replace the requirements for Pre-delivery moderation from the Online Moderation System. The Division of Learning & Teaching has worked with the Subject Outlines Tool team to create the declarations and support for their use.
A supplementary checklist is available to help you understand what each declaration requires; and you can consult the Division of Learning & Teaching Quality Assurance page for more information about quality in subject outlines. An Author must make the declarations in order for an Outline to pass the Compliance Check and be eligible for submission to QA. Likewise, a QA Officer must make the declarations in order for an Outline to pass the Compliance Check and be eligible to be submitted for publication.
